London-based designer Marios Schwab is shifting away from the mainstream fashion calendar once again. Following his decision last season to show his AW15 collections in one-to-one appointments, the designer has announced that he is foregoing the spring/summer 2016 season in London, and will show his next collection in December, during the pre-autumn/winter 2016 season.

The move comes as the designer states that his customers are looking for “something new at different times of the year,” and that the collection will be made up of an edit of “key wardrobe pieces” with a focus on cocktail and eveningwear.

The collection will be Schwab’s main season offering and once again he will show it to press and buyers during appointments. The designer didn’t add whether this would be a permanent schedule change.

“By stepping away from the seasonal calendar I will be able to provide my customers with collections when they really want them,” Schwab told WWD.
