MM6 Maison Margiela joins LFW schedule

The British Fashion Council has released the final schedule for next month’s London Fashion Week, with some new additions to the spring/summer 2016 line-up, including MM6 Maison Margiela.

Last month, FashionUnited reported that Versus Versace would stage a catwalk show during LFW for the first time on September 19, as well as the addition of numerous presentations from the likes of veteran designer Zandra Rhodes and Emma Hill’s new accessories line, Hill & Friends, as well as the return of Peter Jensen and Amanda Wakeley.

The final schedule has now also added MM6 Maison Margiela , who will stage a presentation on Sunday, September 20. The diffusion line has previously shown in New York, with the last MM6 presentation taking place for resort 2016, after skipping the autumn/winter 2015 season. The move follows the appointment of John Galliano as creative director of Maison Margiela last year, who unveiled his debut collection in London.

London Fashion Week spring/summer 2016 will take place from September 18 to 22 at its new location at Brewer Street car park in Soho, following its move from Somerset House.
