preview of highlights modefabriek will once again be presenting a carefully compiled brand mix of high-end labels; prominent and established brand names, but also newcomers. A short preview:

Maison Scotch, Scotch & Soda’s “younger sister”, has a scoop with the exhibition of its first ladies’ collection, shirt specialist Blue Industry will be showing off its casual gents’ shirts with a ‘dressed’ look, Scee by Twin-Set will be presenting a tricot collection for next season, with innovative knitting techniques and a romantic touch, GX-2 will be carrying on with its oriental tradition with a mixture of Indian and Chinese handmade embroidery for unique collection items, knitwear will continue as the PierAntoniaGaspari brand signature, who mixes daring materials in his collection, Munthe plus Simonsen will again be offering ultra feminine designs with a refreshing Scandinavian vibe and the American trendsetting denim label William Rast, by business partners Justin Timberlake and Trace Ayala, will be introducing a complete lifestyle collection.

promises presented in new design area next and cutting edge will be offering an exclusive stage for talented designers. next will be exhibiting high quality and wearable collections by young designers and starting out labels: including Jaehwah*Lee, Aschön, SoPopular, NON by Kim, Maria Westerlind and TSM The Swedish Model. cutting edge will be exhibiting avant-garde collections by ‘designers on the edge’; these are tomorrow’s promising designers.

The innovative À la Disposition label from New York by the designer couple Lynda and Daniel Kinne looks for perfect harmony between aesthetic form and modern functionality. The duo has received the necessary support from a large number of appreciable national and international magazines with their sculptured and avant-garde collection. Designer Carolyn Massey produces fashion for gentlemen, recognisable by its authentic English cut. Massey was the first solo designer to be sponsored for her show during London Fashion Week by the trendsetting label Topman, for which she also designed the ‘Carolyn Massey for Topman’ bestseller collection. Elsien Gringhuis established her name by winning, amongst others, the prestigious Italian ‘Camera Nazionale Della Moda’ award by Mittelmoda. Recently graduated and very promising talent Linda Valkeman will be demonstrating the beauty of chaos with ‘My Delirium’; a ‘high speed’ folklore collection with striking material combinations. She already managed to take credit for a number of nominations and presentations whilst she was still studying, including the nomination for the 2007 Piet Bakker Prize. Other brands exhibiting include Angelos Bratis, Melody Deldjou Fard and Wendy & Jim.

modefabriek will once again serve as a unique, distinctive and trendsetting stage for both national and international labels. A must for every fashion professional.
