This season will see the debut of British based label Modernist at London Fashion Week. Design duo Abdul Koroma and Andrew Jones entered Fashion Fringe in 2005 and is now sponsored by New Generation to show their collection.

Sierra Leone’s Abdul Koroma and Newcastle-born Andrew Jones graduated from the Kingston School of Fashion and met when they were working as consultants for the Italian brand Max Mara. Since Fashion Fringe the young creatives received great recognition and the Top Shop New Generation Award for sponsored stands at The Exhibition.

With their innovative take on avant-garde fashion, the Modernist ready-to-wear collection is a directional and distinguished designed range. They are known for their rich materials, which have a perfect finish.

For Spring/Summer 08, Modernist will present strong silhouettes and dynamic designs in vibrant colours mixed with darker tones. The new collection brings together hi-tech and lightweight fabrics like nylon, jersey, cotton gauzes and tulles.
