New York - Moleskine, the company known for their high-end notebooks, is venturing into the leather bag business.

The collection will be designed in Italy by Milan-based Vittorio Venezia and it will join the two existing Moleskine bags, Classic and mycloud, which are made of polyurethane. This new collection is designed to appeal to the urban traveler.

Called the lineage bag collection, five shapes will be offered: a tote, a backpack, a reporter bag, a slim briefcase, and a messenger bag. All the pads will have padded inner pockets for laptops and tablets, and standard smaller pockets for cellphones, notebooks, planners, and keys. Metal zips and magnetic flaps will secure the items inside of the bags.

The collection will also include five wallets including passport and card versions.

Price points for the bag range from 190 dollars for the tote to 325 for the backpack. Price points for the wallet range from 59 dollars and 95 cents to 89 dollars and 95 cents. They will be sold at Moleskine stores, on the company's website, and at select retail partners.
