Murphy face of Jordache

Brittany Murphy is the first celebrity to be the face of Jordache jeans. The diminutive, bubbly actress, famous from her roles in Clueless and, more recently, Sin City , features in a new ad campaign for the brand, shot by Patrick Demarchelier.

Jordache jeans were all the rage back in the 1970s and have been revived to what promises to be their former stature. Hence, the eleborate ad campaign. In it Murphy poses bareback on a horse in a field - this being a twist on the brand's horse-head logo. The brand has said that the first ads will appear in US publications beginning in September. The Jordache website shows a scrambled picture of the ad with an actual clock doing a countdown till the big day. Talk about building expectations!
