Sneaker brand Feiuye is launching two limited editions for SS10. The company gave complete artistic freedom to three artists, from the world of graphic design, conceptual art and fashion. Each designer was encouraged to use any material or colour of their choice to re-design the Feiyue lo and hi-top 10N 28E. These partnerships have resulted in three unique sneakers to reinforce Feiyue’s creative profile.

Unholy Matrimony is the brainchild of L.A. artist’s Brett Westfall’s. The label was launched in 2003 with the aim of creating wearable art that would defy the concept of trends based fashion. He has previously worked on projects for Comme des Garcons, with a Paris catwalk debut last summer.

Then multi-tasking French graphic designer Frederique Daubal injects a new, mature dimension into the Feiyue line. Coming from a graphic design background, Frederique also experiments with textile as a three dimensional medium and creates clothes under her name which incorporate second hand pieces. She has collaborated brands such as Paul Smith, Nokia and Colette.

Daubal takes a double take on the Feiyue lo creating two ultra cool designs. Fe-Lo Daudal blue wings, focuses on the symbolic Feiyue wing, which is hand painted and included a contrast bright yellow tongue.

The first Feiyue sneaker appeared in the 1920s in Shanghai. The sneaker arrived in Europe in 2006 and was picked in France after which it underwent a series of transformations. Fascinated by urban art, music and travel, the team intuitively follows its day-to-day fancies to enhance the Feiyue range, following no specifications on trends or other preliminary studies.
