The Clotheshow Live is spending GBP 600,000 on four programmes to find and support new British talent. With the Can You Cut It competition, art and design foundation, BTEC or Diploma students, the winner can win an annual bursary of GBP 5,000 for a three or four year university course.

There is also a design competition for 13-17-year-olds and a programme geared towards finding the final year or college student most suited to win GBP 2,000.

Then there is also the existing Clotheshow Life Student Designer of the Year competition. The winner of this competition takes a placement at a leading British fashion house and is also awarded a cheque for GBP 2,000. All the lucky winners will be treated like VIP's at the Clotheshow event and will be given GBP 1,000 for their school's art department. Gavin Brown, managing director of Haymarket Exhibitions, said: "As the world's largest fashion and beauty event, it is important to ensure our commitment to up-and-coming design and fashion talent."
