kleine fabriek offers for the first time a 'new design' section, where a select group of small and/or new brands are exhibiting. The 8th edition of the international children's trade fair takes place on January 11 and 12 in the Amsterdam RAI.
The new design part consists of 11 smaller stands in the Park Foyer, next to the kleine fabriek hall. Merel Bunnik: "We got a lot of requests from starting designers and small companies for whom a standard participation is hard to achieve. Because we wanted to give them a chance we have created this possibility. Also, it really meets our ambition to surprise our visitors every edition." In the new section for example there is French brand Mini Labo with cotton cuddles, colourful accessories for the children's room, wall stickers and wall paper. Also French: Georges & Rosalie show their folklore interior accessories collection.
The designers were inspired by their trip to Vietnam, and all beautiful fabrics and patterns are produced Fair Trade. German brand Apünktchen has clothing for boys and girls from 1 to 10 years. Clothing that is not meant to be trendy but just different. Dutch designer studio Ateliers is also there with furniture line Stek.
