The Dutch Fashion Foundation is launching the Dutch Touch New York campaign during New York Fashion Week today.

The event will include couture catwalk shows by Dutch designers Jan Taminiau, Percy Irausquin and Angelos Bratis, avant-garde fashion by Mada van Gaans, Melanie Rozema, G+N fashionfugitive and Daryl van Wouw. There will be exhibitions in the Diane von Furstenburg studio and in the ADC Gallery, a Dutch fashion showroom and a fashion performance by JOFF. Further to this, there will be an exhibition by Bas Kosters and a photo exhibition by Liz Wendelbo, among other activities.

The New York initiative follows the success of Dutch Touch Paris. The aim of the effort is to present contemporary Dutch fashion and its interaction with advertising, creative concepts, photography, illustrations, 3-D and graphic design, video art, paintings and performances.
