Newest fashion icon

Stop the presses! Mary-Kate Olsen, of Olsen twin fame, has been declared a fashion icon by the New York Times.Mary-Kate is currently being treated for anorexia in New York, where she is attending New York University. However, the whole skinny issue is once again scoring points with the fashion set who now applaud her sense of grunge fashion.

Stylist Karen Berenson says: "The Olsens are the real thing. (Mary-Kate) makes skinny girls in baggy clothes look cool." This type of comment - which appears to encourage thinness in teens - cannot be good for Mary-Kate's recovery process.
