TV presenter Emma Willis has launched her first clothing collection exclusively with Next, after previously curating her own edits for the brand.
The 30-piece summer capsule wardrobe collection launched online on March 1 and features swimwear, beachwear, jumpsuits, playsuits and short co-ords, which combines Willis personal style with the season’s biggest trends, notes the retailer on its website.
Willis worked closely with Next’s in-house designers as well as her stylist Hannah Macleod to design the collection that features pastel checks, soft stripes and neutral shades.
In an interview on Next’s website, Willis stated that the collection has been a “real dream come true” and that while the design process was “quite daunting in the beginning” she felt that it has been an “equal collaboration” between herself, her stylist and the Next designers.
When discussing where she found the inspiration for the collection, Willis added: “I found it everywhere; in Hannah’s head, my head, the Next designers’ heads, in my house, from friends, from travelling to different places, magazines.
“I’m so lucky to be able to go to lots of different places and it’s always inspiring – you just have to open your eyes and look and things just jump out at you. Even in a home magazine you could see a cushion and think that print would be amazing for a jumpsuit or a beach cover-up. I think there’s inspiration everywhere you just have to be switched on to see it.”
Willis launched the collaboration on her Instagram, sharing that the project had been in development for the past year and that the goal of the collection was to offer “classic pieces, for all ages, that you can mix and match”.
Highlights from the Emma Willis Collection includes a pastel check suit, wide leg trousers, a stripe shirt dress, and swim and beachwear pieces featuring a bold blue palm print. Prices start at 12 pounds for the Emma Willis Basic T-Shirt, and go up to 70 pounds for the Emma Willis Wrap Jumpsuit.
