Nine West and New Balance Partner to Create Fashion-Lifestyle Footwear

Nine West Group (a division of Jones Apparel Group) and New Balance are collaborating on a fashion lifestyle footwear collection called ‘New Balance for Nine West’. The shoes will bring together New Balance’s innovative performance and materials technology with Nine West’s fashion styling. Terms of the agreement were not disclosed, nor has the price range of the new footwear collection.

The joint effort will be supported by an integrated marketing campaign, including public relations, events, and a combination of digital and traditional media. "Casual lifestyle is the category most in demand right now, in terms of how the consumer is dressing and shopping," Mr. Card told the Wall Street Journal. "This allows Nine West to grow with real credibility."'New Balance for Nine West' will launch for the spring 2009 season with about 20 styles priced between $70 and $100. It will debut at about 50 Nine West stores and an unspecified number of New Balance stores.
