The Box, the high-end accessories showcase from Paris, will make its stateside debut at New York’s fashion trade show The Train, which takes place at Chelsea’s Terminal Stores building February 21-23.
The Train was launched in September 2004 for international fashion and accessories designers. The show is produced by the French company SODES, with the support of the Fédération Française du Prêt-à-Porter Féminin, also producers of Prêt-à-Porter in Paris, Atmosphère in Paris, Livingroom in Tokyo and Platform 2 in New York.
The Train is exclusively dedicated to a selection of 130 women's designer and contemporary brands, including 40 high-end accessories brands. The show brings together approximately 3,000 visitors (buyers from department stores, designer boutiques, specialty stores, buying offices and more) in 3 days.
Brands expected to show include Cleo & Cat (USA), Grevi (Italy), Philippe Audibert (France), Ransom + Scout (USA), Wendy Stevens (USA) and Samia Kamar (UK).
Also, the contemporary-driven Platform 2 showcase will be rolled into The Train, which is expected to host 130 collections by brands ranging from Cacharel to Anaessia (Australia), Edward Achour (France) and Label (Germany).
Platform 2 was launched in September 2006, following the success of The Train. Platform 2 is a new ready-to-wear and accessories trade show dedicated to bridge and contemporary collections, a new space for 60 international brands, looking for a wider and strong network of retailers throughout North America.
