Do you know when your order arrives?
In fashion companies it is not unusual that buying and manufacturing is done outside the home country of the companies, like in China , Vietnam and Laos . Due to this an important part of the delivery time is determined by the transport time/period.
From the moment of buying or production it is not quite clear what happened with the goods; are they in production, are they waiting by the quayside to ship or are they already on the ship or on the truck? Often a shipment contains several purchase orders, maybe even of several manufacturers. Pebblestone has developed the "Traffic"granule, integrated in Pebblestone Fashion, which gives you a sound grasp of the location of your goods.
Where is my order?
Probably you know when your goods are ready on the quayside, when they are on the boat or in the plane, or when they are ready to be cleared by the customs. You can keep this in an Excel overview, registrering your orders with item numbers, container numbers, boat names and several other data.
In case of delay, all information needs to be adapted. You have to look up the relevant orders in your application which will cost a lot of time. You also want to know the consequences of a possible delay of the arrival of the buying orders and which customers and/or sales orders are affected. This probably means a double data-entry and comparison of data from different systems, which are not centrally managed.
Often there are more "versions of the truth". Wouldn't it be more practical when you manage all transports centrally?
Day to day follow-up
In order to follow your shipments from day to day, Pebblestone developed a special granule for you. You are able to interfere when a problem with a delivery occurs. In this period it is nice to know to how to control the developments of this process.
