The Autumn/Winter 2009 Pepe Jeans London men’s collection contains a series of both retrospective and current influences wherein London remains the main point of reference. Throughout, Pepe Jeans revisits the branded prints and embroidered motifs that have for 35 years been a recognisable symbol of quality, premium streetwear.
The ‘London’ range is utilitarian in style and heavily constructed with functional interior detailing. Engineered outerwear epitomises the military, urban street look. Trousers are slim and tailored and are part of an essential nightime aesthetic where imagery is dark and gothic. This theme transfers to graphic t-shirt styles where thunder and lightning imagery has been hand-illustrated in house and exclusive to Pepe Jeans. The colour palette comprises of primary earth tones in khaki, navy, olive and black which perfectly represent its nightime setting.
