Pepe's Pop Art

To launch its latest range, Pepe Jeans links with Andy Warhol. After Sienna Miller playing Andy Warhol's muse in Factory Girl and facing Pepe's campaign, the British denim label now has acquired the European license through the Andy Warhol Foundation. For autumn next year, Pepe's planning to introduce a menswear and womenswear line.
Although the seventies revival seems last season, Pepe Jeans London wants to embrace the artist's sophisticated sense of design and forward-thinking concepts and is destined to become as collectible as the art itself.
The collection will feature 250 men's and women's pieces with Andy Warhol inspired features, detailing and accessory line. The collection will be divided in the Pop and Factory range. The Pop designs will have more of the repetitive prints as the Campbell's Soup Cans and Marilyns, and Factory will feature the individual style of Andy Warhol's studio members.
The collection will see its debut at Bread&Butter 2008 in January and a pre selection will be available at Pepe's flagship store from May. A full selection will go on sale next autumn.
