From the 60s onwards, Persol has had an affiliation with films. This year Persol marks its fiftieth anniversary of Federico Fellini’s legendary film La Dolce Vita. To celebrate its bond with the film industry, Persol will be presenting two sunglass models, for men and women, which evoke the charm and appeal of Rome in the 60s. Two models for men and women, feature vintage shapes and details recalling the style and taste of the years of the dolce vita. Cat’s eye shape for the women and rounded contours for the men’s model.

Persol has been taking part in the International Venice Film-Art Biennial since 2006 with an award presented every year to one of the major names of the international movie world. In 2008, the Persol award went to Kathryn Bigelow, a director currently in the running for the forthcoming Oscars with the film The Hurt Locker.
