Pierre Hardy to design Gap shoes

Parisian shoe designer Pierre Hardy, known amongst the fashion cognoscenti as the cobbler of the most glamorous and directional footwear , is to shoes what Nicolas Ghesquire is to Balenciaga. His handcrafted, luxurious heels are not easy to get hold of, with only very few stockists around the world. Shoe aficionados in Europe will be delighted to hear the designer has teamed up with Gap to design a range of footwear for the high street retailer.
Hardy, who is currently starring in Gap's new Ad campaign, will design a line exclusively for Gap's European stores, that will go on sale later this year. Gap said of the collaboration, "as we launch our European collections in Gap stores for the first time, we are delighted to have the opportunity to build on successful past collaborations, with a world class talent like Pierre Hardy". Gap have previously collaborated with the likes of Thakoon, Roland Mouret and Rodarte. Ladies, get ready to queue!
