London-based ethical footwear brand Po-Zu has announced its first 100 percent vegan AW19 mainline collection.
The new range, which includes sneakers, cork runners, flats and traditional walking and winter boots with a modern twist, is made from coconut husks, cork, rubberised cotton, pineapple leaves and ‘Apple Skin’ - vegan leather derived from the apple juice industry and grown in the Italian Alps.
“As a lifelong vegetarian, I am passionate about delivering footwear that is sustainable, cruelty-free yet doesn’t come at the cost of our planet,” founder of Po-Zu, Sven Segal, said in a statement. “We are very excited to be integrating more and more vegan offerings at Po-Zu. To have a 100 percent fully vegan Mainline collection for AW19 is landmark for us.”
