New York-based fashion label Proenza Schouler is partnering with Lancôme for a new line of makeup that is due to be available in stores from July.

The luxury beauty brand will see Proenza Schouler create a capsule collection for AW18 with co-founders Jack McCollough and Lazaro Hernandez having a blank slate in all forms of its design.

"Borne by the radical approach of Jack McCollough and Lazaro Hernandez, Proenza Schouler fashion is the manifesto of a strong, free femininity,” said Françoise Lehmann, general manager of Lancôme International, in a statement. “The idea of 'empowerment' is at the heart of their values, just as it has always been at the heart of the Lancôme philosophy.”

"Lancôme has always represented the epitome of luxury beauty products, so it is like a dream come true to be able to collaborate with such an iconic and historic brand," said Mr. McCollough and Mr. Hernandez, in a statement.

Lancôme previously collaborated with former Lanvin designer Alber Elbaz and Anthony Vaccarello, then creative director at Versace Versus.

In March Proenza Schouler debuted their first fragrance in collaboration with L’Oreal, called Arizona. The scent is floral with a mineral signature. At its core is a creamy iris accord and a white cactus flower, the latter a unique ingredient not used in over 100 years, according to L’Oreal.
