This year the quintessentially British jewellery designer Dinny Hall celebrates its 25th anniversary. Besides brand owned shops, the label is now available at John Lewis. Dinny Hall is showcasing her most popular designs at 12 premium John Lewis stores throughout the UK to celebrate her 25 years in business.

FU: How did you experience 25 years of Dinny Hall?
Dinny Hall: Challenging, fun, a journey full of obstacles and rewards.

FU: After opening nine concessions in John Lewis last year. Are you planning any further expansions?
DH: A further five or six at John Lewis, then wholesale expansion UK and then on to Far East and USA.

FU: How have you developed your aesthetic over the years?
DH: I have found inspiration from eclectic sources as diverse as architecture, nature, film or even Ethnic jewellery. Then over the years a distinctive style has evolved with tendency towards making the out of the complex.

FU: What kind of ideas were you looking at whilst designing the latest collection?
DH: I love the way light passes through some ornate friezes seen in Moroccan architecture. Inspired by this I chose a motif (and fashioned this shape into silver or gold) which when arranged in a myriad of ways created beautiful pattern; so came about my favourite earring of the year called ‘Talitha’ named after an iconic image of the great beauty Talitha Getty.

FU: How would you describe the Dinny Hall customer?
DH: Individuals with great taste.

FU: What's the most extraordinary bespoke request you’ve received?
DH: Too rude to mention, as I say my customers are individuals.
