River Island to launch RI Petite

High street staple River Island is expanding its product categories with the addition of its debut petite range: RI Petite.

RI Petite debut follows on from the success of River Island's plus range, RI Plus, launched this March as the fashion retailer aims to extend their collections to "offer great fashion to more women."

The first collection for the new range consists of 70 pieces which have been specially designed to fit women 5 feet 3 inches and under. Garments have been altered to ensure they flatter a smaller frame, with leg lengths shortened to 29 inches and sleeve lengths have been reduced by 1 inch.

Similar to River Islands main collection, RI Petite designs include the latest trends and styles as well as wardrobe staples. Key party items including slip dresses in satin and lace, sequinned tops and skirt for the upcoming festive season and structured coats. Sizes for the collection will range between 4 and 16.

RI Petite is set to launch October 21, 2016 as an online exclusive at riverisland.com.
