Principles and Warehouse owner Rubicon has completed a shake-up of its outsources support contracts, breaking its remaining ties with the chains' former owner Arcadia.
Rubicon has signed new agreements for its warehousing and distribution, IT, payroll, buying and merchandising and accounting system. Up to this point the company had used the same services as prior to its management buyout from Arcadia in 2001.
Rubicon chief executive Peter Davies stated: "Arcadia was running the business in terms of what was beneficial to it, but we have a very different approach. The 18-month interim period gave us a breathing space but now we want to be in control of our destiny."
The major changes include DTS Logistics replacing Tibbett & Britten as the retailer's logistics partner and Retail Assist taking on IT support and development for stores and head office.
