British fashion designer Savannah Miller is launching a new causal to formal line called Nine as part of Debenhams’ Designer range.

Launching at the end of August, the Nine by Savannah Miller collection will roll out to 65 Debenhams stores across the UK and online, as well as be stock in Debenhams’ international stores in the Middle East, Latvia, Turkey, Iceland, Russia, Cyprus and Denmark.

Miller, who graduated from Central St Martins with a specialism in knitwear, is best known as one half of the design team behind the Twenty8Twelve womenswear label that she launched with her sister, actress Sienna Miller, in 2011. The label is currently on hold.

Her new 70-piece clothing collection and 45-piece accessories line has been created to “fill a market need for stylish, smart-casual wardrobe pieces for day to eveningwear.” It features luxury knits, denim, vintage inspired laces, sequin embellishments and subtle 'non' print blouses and dresses, as well as shoes, boots, bags, and a range of scarves and wraps, all of which have a bohemian vibe.

Commenting on her collaboration, Miller said: "I am delighted to become a part of the Designers at Debenhams offering with the launch of my new collection, Nine. The range is inspired by the eclectic and bohemian, chic way that cool girls dress and comprises of relaxed, casual separates. Naturally there is a particular emphasis on amazing knitwear which can be teamed with perfect jeans to embellished sequin skirts.”

Key highlights from the Nine by Savannah Miller collection includes a tie neck blouse, a sequin jacket, a star embroidered top, embellished pocket jeans, lace detail jumpsuit, a maxi embellished dress and a contrast Crombie coat.

The average selling price for the range is 35 pounds, meaning that the collection sits between Debenhams Casual and Designers pricing. Knitwear makes up 20 percent of the range with pricing ranging from 30 to 50 pounds, while jeans range from 30 to 45 pounds. Average pricing for accessories are 55 pounds for bags and 45 pounds for footwear.

Debenhams group trading director, Suzanne Harlow added: "The appointment of Savannah into our portfolio of Designers is really an exciting one. A large proportion of our customers choose to shop with us because of our Designer offering and by recruiting Savannah we are able to offer a collection that is versatile and customers can wear in a cool and contemporary way."

The collection will be fronted by top model Carmen Kass and will be supported by a print advertising campaign as well as across windows, in-store, PR and digital communications.

Department store chain Debenhams has been offering a designer portfolio for more than 20 years, its current fashion roster includes Henry Holland, Jeff Banks, Jasper Conran, FrostFrench, Patrick Grant, Betty Jackson, Ben de Lisi, Todd Lynn, Julien Macdonald, Jenny Packham, Stephen Jones, Preen, John Rocha, Jonathan Saunders and Matthew Williamson.
