Independent fashion brand Scamp & Dude has collaborated with British Paralympian and swimmer Ellie Simmonds for its ‘Super Scarf’ charitable initiative.
The brand’s founder Jo Tutchener-Sharp collaborated with Simmonds on a ‘Super Scarf’ design that features soft turquoise with black and blue shadow leopard print. The mix of shades of blue represents Simmond's love for water, which she describes as her "happy place".
For every ‘Super Scarf’ purchased, Scamp & Dude donates another to a woman with cancer starting chemotherapy treatment via the brand’s hospital partners across the UK. To date, the ‘Super Scarf Mission’ has "wrapped over 43,000 women in a superpower infused hug".
Jo Tutchener Sharp, founder and chief executive of Scamp & Dude, said in a statement: "Ellie has been such an inspiration, and I think what she's done is incredible. I love her positivity and I'm so happy to have her join the Scamp & Dude #SuperScarfMission.
“When we first spoke, she wanted to create a scarf that captured the ocean - it's the perfect colour palette for spring/summer. We can't wait to donate these to every woman starting chemotherapy across the UK."
The Scamp & Dude x Ellie Simmonds ‘Super Scarf’ is priced at £40 and will be available from the brand’s stores in London at Battersea Power Station, Marlow and Edinburgh, and via its website.
