Cornish fashion label Seasalt has expanded its size range up to a size 24 in response to increasing customer demand, in time for Spring/Summer 2017.

The move sees over 150 lines on the Seasalt website going up to a size 24 launching next week, including a number of signature styles such as the Breton-stripe sailor shirt, as well as tops, bottoms and dresses. The plus-size offering officially launches on December 5 and will see new additions rolling out each month.

Rather than selecting a model to ask as the face of its new range, Seasalt asked Lottie Mackfall, a buyer who has been with the brand for a number of years, who is also has a printed tea dress named after her.

“We always design with shape in mind. We use real women to fit and test all of our clothing,” said Seasalt co-founder Neil Chadwick to FashionNetwork. “We’ve listened carefully to our customers and we’re pleased to offer some of our favourite pieces up to size 24.”

If the extended sizing range sells well, Seasalt will offer it to its wholesale partners in the near future.
