Albeit Japan is an interesting market for British fashion and accessories sector, it is not always as easy to break into. To be hands on to those who are looking to expand, UK Fashion Export (UKFE) is hosting its second ‘Selling to Japan’ seminar on Thursday 16 July from 4-6pm at 5 Portland Place in Central London.
“The Japanese market has a very distinctive structure as well as an exacting customer base. It requires a unique approach as well as patience and hard work, “ explains Paul Alger, executive director, UK Fashion Exports, the export division of the UK Fashion and Textile Association (UKFT), who is a regular visitor to Japan and who will provide an overview of the country.
Speakers will include Richard Craig of Margaret Howell, who will give a personal account of how to succeed in the region. Delegate places cost £50 for members of UKFT/UKFE or £100 for non-members.
