A Selling to Japan seminar, organised by UK Fashion Exports, will be held on Thursday 17 July in London for companies looking to boost their exports. Designed to help businesses make the most of the high demand for British fashion and style from this brand conscious market, speakers will include Dermott Rowan of Orla Kiely, Mike Nicholson of Gieves & Hawkes, and Tim Robinson of Kurt Salmon Associates.

"Japan is one of the UK's most important fashion markets and British businesses have exported more than £500m worth of goods there over the past 10 years - and that is not including the volumes sold under licence by a myriad of brands, " says Paul Alger, executive director, UK Fashion Exports. "But with its unique requirements and a very distinct market structure, Japan remains a very difficult market to crack.

Our seminar will help companies make the most of the opportunities it offers." Selling to Japan will provide an overview of the market and how it operates; identify the opportunities and dangers for British business; detail the routes to market; explain how trading houses and big business operates and give personal accounts of how to succeed

Delegate places cost £66 for members of BCIA and UK Fashion Exports; £120 non-members - all plus VAT.
