Sex tape filmed in Uniqlo changing room angers Chinese watchdogs

London - A 60 second sex tape filmed within the changing room of Uniqlo's flagship store in Beijing has gone viral and been condemned by the Chinese watchdogs, the Cyberspace Administration of China (CAC). The x-rated footage, which depicts a man dressed in black engaging in sexual intercourse with a naked woman in a Uniqlo changing room has been shared by millions across China's social media networks Weibo and WeChat, in spite of local watchdogs labeling the film as a strike against "core socialist values."

The CAC, which scrambled to ban the explicit film, accused the Japanese apparel label of using the film as a promotional stunt. But Uniqlo has stepped forward and denied any involvement with the making of the film in a statement."As a responsible international brand, Uniqlo is dedicated to providing consumers with safe, comfortable and quality shopping experiences and locations," said the apparel firm. "We would like to remind all customers to abide by society's moral standard... and properly and appropriately use our fitting rooms."

The Chinese government has vowed to "continue to crack down on vulgar materials online and safeguard the cyber environment," added Xu Feng, a director at CAC according to The Guardian. Beijing police are currently in search of those who made the film and uploaded it. However, in spite of a crackdown by the CAC, most Chinese consumers appeared to be amused by the film. Several merchants on Taobao and Tmall have created commemorative t-shirts to celebrate the film and many young Chinese shoppers have been seen taking selfies outside of the Uniqlo store where the sex film was shot.
