SHOWstudio have uploaded the design patterns of seven international designers including John Galliano, Gareth Pugh and Alexander McQueen for viewers to create their own bespoke masterpiece from its designer pattern archive.

Once you've downloaded one of teh exclusive garment patterns all you have to do is craft your own fashion homage to some of contemporary fashion's greatest. The finest, as selected by a panel including Nick Knight, Alistair O'Neill and Professor Penny Martin, will be displayed alongside over twenty SHOWstudio projects (including original garments from Comme des Garçons, John Galliano and Nicolas Ghesquière of Balenciaga) as part of SHOWstudio: Fashion Revolution at Somerset House.

SHOWstudio's first design download from fashion revolutionary John Galliano appeared on the catwalk in his Autumn/Winter 2001 'Techno Romance' collection. Referencing seventeenth century female buccaneers Ann Bonney and Pirate Queen Marianne, the garment simultaneously spoke of the re-cyclical nature of rebel clothing, a constant theme within Galliano’s work since his graduate collection in 1984. Deceptively deconstructed, the jacket appears to be held together by sail rivets, buckles and ties, but in actual fact is a complex example of corsetry, skilled tailoring and the Couture workmanship that have defined Galliano's contribution to contemporary fashion.
