Simon Ekrelius’ constructivism

Swedish born and London based designer Simon Ekrelius created a collection for AW09 inspired by the early Russian constructivism and called his new line ‘The Tower’. The ethically high-end label was launched in 1998 in Sweden and thus far Ekrelius produced 14 collections. Each style is a limited edition and is produced in the UK, including the fabric printing and the whole workmanship. Ekrelius is known for using common material combined with luxury. Simple woven fabrics are transformed by complex cuts and asymmetrical styles. His colour combinations and sophisticated print techniques turn straightforward garments in to something quite spectacular.
