British women's wear supplier Slimma has reported a drop in sales in the year ended September 2005, as a result of its exit from the private-label sector, reports just-style.
Profit for the full year increased to £1 million from £0.9 million the year before. Turnover fell to £23.19 million from £25.93 million last year. Earlier last year the company said that it would close down its private-label business to focus on its own brands, as increased competition on the high street had repeatedly hurt the private-label business.
Slimma expects sales from its brands this year to account for 92 percent of total sales.
