Superga launches shoe collection with Del Toro

Classic Italian sneaker brand Superga and American luxury shoe brand Del Toro have joined forces to launch a collection of sneakers together, Footwear News reports.

The new collection was presented in New York this week, at Del Toro’s boutique. Del Toro designer Matthew Chevallard was on hand to present the summer 2016 collection. “Superga is in Torino, Italy and that’s my hometown, so it’s an homage to that. I’ve had a close family relationship with the company - it’s a full circle moment,” he said.

The capsule collection features four styles, ranging in price from 145 dollars for a light blue suede model and a navy camo suede model, to a 2754 mid-ankle model in either white or navy ostrich leather for 540 dollars.

The shoes all feature gilded eyelets, leather lining and vulcanised natural rubber soles. Del Toro’s signature red label features on the back of the shoe.

The range is available both online and in Del Toro’s stores in Miami and New York, as well as via Superga stores in New York and San Francisco and at Saks Fifth Avenue.
