Having produced distinguished leather items for over 250 years, Swaine Adeney Brigg is now launching new designs of hand crafted, British-made, contemporary luggage aboard the Orient Express this month. Selected media will have a first glimpse of these beautiful new pieces at the Orient Express, which seems to be the appropriate setting for Swaine Ardeney Brigg's new direction.
The luxury leather goods label, and supplier to the Royal Family since the early 1800s, is known for their classic umbrellas, and equestrian accessories. Former accessories designer for Alexander McQueen, Dominic Laurelli, leads the new product ranges. Whilst maintaining craftsmanship and elegance, Swaine Ardeney Brigg's new collections reveal a refined simplicity. Maintaining the theme of 1920's and 30's luxury travel, the new collection consists of lightweight holdalls for both business and leisure travel. The range also marks several new developments for Swaine Adeney Brigg, the employment of modern, hi-tech construction and materials, and the addition of wheeled luggage and lightweight modern suitcases.
The main body of the bags are constructed from traditional, natural soft saddle leather and are tanned by using a natural vegetable extract. This environmentally friendly process has been traditionally used by Swaine Adeney for years and remains a prominent feature of this new collection.
