Target and Vineyard Vines announce joint collection

Target is teaming up with Vineyard Vines for a limited-edition collaboration of home and apparel items. The American retail chain, which just this week began inviting third party retailers to sell on its e-commerce site, is no stranger to creating lines in partnership with fashion and lifestyle brands. Its current ans past collaborators include Joanna Gaines, TOMS, Lilly Pulitzer, Hunter and Marimekko.
Lifestyle apparel brand Vineyard Vines is based in Stamford, CT, and creates clothing for men, women and children based on values of leisure and a positive state of mind.
The brand's CEO and co-founder, Shep Murray, said in a statement that Target "shares many of our same values including fun, optimism and innovation," and added that Vineyard Vines looks forward to testing out home goods, which is a new product category for it.
The limited-edition collection will include over 300 unique items across categories including clothing, accessories, swim, home and outdoor goods. The apparel collection will encompass womenswear, menswear and childrenswear, as the collaboration is intended to celebrate the theme of welcomed, summer gatherings. The collection will range in price from 2 to 120 dollars, with most items costing less than 35 dollars.

"We worked closely with the Vineyard Vnes team to create a collection of well-designed, affordable items that are meant to bring people together... Launching just as summer kicks off, this is the perfect collection to help our guests create lasting memories with family and friends, all season long."
The Vineyard Vines for Target line will be available in Target stores and online starting May 18.
