Any retail fashion students attending entrepreneur Philip Green's Fashion Retail Academy can expect a lesson or two from the master himself, as well as M&S boss Stuart Rose. The brand new Academy is opening in London in September, and the first 20 students have been offered places. Meanwhile the remaining 40 places will probably be filled during the recruitment days on 29 July and 31 August.

Alison Bending, Arcadia 's education project manager, told Drapers : "They have done lots of research and are very aware of what we and other colleges have to offer. They see themselves having a long-term career in the industry. We've invited parents to the open days - it's really important that they are committed to supporting their children within a new further education initiative." The Academy offers two level diplomas - the equivalent of a GCSE and an A Level - and plenty of practical experience.
