Albeit the boutique set up of fashion fair Texworld USA, the exhibition reached its second highest attendance in the event’s history. From 14-16th July, Texworld USA returned to New York City’s Javits Convention Center as the largest sourcing event in the United States for apparel applications. Texworld USA aims to be an international business platform connecting fabric manufacturers with the top buyers in the US market and beyond.

The seventh edition showcased 138 exhibitors from 13 countries and welcomed 2,678 attendees. While the attendee number showed a decrease of 6% from last July due to current economic conditions, it made a record as the second highest attended Texworld USA since the inception of the show.

“Long-term the American market is still the most important market in the world, and Texworld USA is the most important and valuable show for this market. We expect the slow-down of the last year to have turned by the time we have our January 2010 edition,” commented David Audrain, President of Messe Frankfurt USA on the final outcome of the July 2009 show.

Texworld USA showcased a diverse array of brands including Banana Republic, Coach, Gap, JCPenney, Macy’s, Oscar de la Renta Collection, Phillips Van Heusen, Urban Outfitters, Victoria’s Secret, Wal-Mart and Warnaco to name just a few.

Lenzing Innovation continued to partner with Messe Frankfurt for the seventh edition of Texworld USA. The pavilion is an expansion of their fabrics trade fair, Innovation Asia - formerly Tencel New York Inc. The eight edition of Texworld USA will take place on January 19-21st in 2010 at the Javits Convention Center in New York City.
