Thakoon to design ‘London inspired’ Kohl’s line

Thakoon is to become the latest designer to launch an affordable line with Kohl’s as part of its DesigNation limited-edition collection, following in the footsteps of Narciso Rodriguez, Derek Lam, Catherine Malandrino, Peter Som and Elie Tahari.

Launching for autumn 2015, the collection has been inspired by the designer’s favourite destination, London, where he recently celebrated his brand’s tenth anniversary. His collection of shirts, sweaters, knit tops, dresses and bottoms, all priced under 200 dollars will pay homage to the British capital with unique prints and patterns.

“We are excited to bring Thakoon to our customers this fall to enhance our women’s apparel offerings with innovative designs, great quality and great value,” said Nancy Feldman, Kohl's executive vice president of women’s apparel. “DesigNation is built to inspire our customers with designs shaped by some of the world’s most popular destinations, and Thakoon Panichgul is the perfect person to bring London to life as he is known for showcasing distinct, global influences through his collections.”

Thakoon added: “I am excited to partner with Kohl’s to share my process of inspiration. The DesigNation collection allows me to explore London, a city I have always loved, and to showcase its style culture through our lens.”

The capsule womenswear collection will be available exclusively at Kohl’s stores and Kohls.com from autumn 2015.
