Lifestyle label Esprit is revamped featuring Daisy Lowe as the fresh new face of edc by Esprit, and Julia Restoin-Roitfeld for Esprit’s Casual range. Both models are captured with a young vibe in an edgy environment.
Daughter of vocalist Pearl Lowe and Bush front man Gavin Rossdale, Daisy Lowe began modelling at the age of 2 and was signed to Select model management by the age of 15. She has since appeared in titles such as Italian Vogue, Elle, GQ, Marie Claire, Grazia and Sunday Times Style, and has become a celebrity in her own right. Julia Restoin-Roitfeld is the daughter of Carine Roitfeld, Editor-in-chief of French Vogue. Since graduating from the School of Design in NYC in 2006, Julia has made a name for herself as a socialite and muse to Tom Ford.
Both the ranges have their own place in the campaign with a slightly more grown up feel fronted by top models Kim Noorda, Leticia Birkheuer and Jon Kortajarena. The result is a campaign which plays on Esprit’s heritage, highlighting the classic laid back look.
Esprit began in California by founders Susie and Doug Tompkins who whilst travelling sold their hand-made product from the back of their station wagon. Nowadays, Esprit Holdings Limited generates a worldwide group turnover of around HKD 34.5 billion (as of 30.06.2009), with net profits of around HKD 4,745 million. The Group operates more than 800 directly managed retail stores worldwide and distributes its products via more than 14,000 wholesale locations around the globe.
