London Fashion Week's ardent weekend show schedule didn't shun key editors, buyers and fashion cognoscenti. Designer Todd Lynn on Sunday proved Rock & Roll is very much alive with his Autumn Winter 2009 Di Meliore collection, despite his early morning slot.

The Canadian-born London-based designer long favours a monochrome palette of black and white, this season showing razor sharp tailored silhouettes in tightly contoured leather and fine wool fabrics. Key pieces such as leather polonecks, trousers punctuated with buttons and tight-fitting armour bodices were softened by headpieces and decadent coats in fur and showed a high octane, yet modern aesthetic.

Cutaway tuxedo jackets with satin lapels were layered over shirts and leather trousers for evening, and sparkling, embellished stoles added an ironic almost ecclesiastical air. Dramatic showcase pieces included bejewelled panelled shirts.

Following his early slot on the Sunday catwalk schedule, Todd Lynn showed no signs of slowing down, and celebrated with an after-party at London's Bureau. The private club entertained a rock & roll crowd, including up and coming band the Howling Bells, Lock Stock actor Nick Moran and dj of the moment Annalisa Astarita, who replaced Dirty Pretty Things DJ Gary Powell, who's music collection was lost at a gig in Berlin the previous night.
