From the end of August The White Shirt collection designed by budding fashion talent will hit the shop floor of Topman. Newly graduates Ute Ploier, Deryck Walker, Richard Nicoll, Siv Stoldal and Carola Euler are the creatives behind the first in a series of seasonal collaborations.

British fashion label Topman, together with its sister company Topshop established its name with fashionable clothes, low-priced collections and collaborations with Kate Moss and young designers. Together with new design talent, Topman is looking at launching a new classic design every season. Emerging designers will be asked to redesign a piece according to their vision. For The White Shirt project Richard Nicoll and Deryck Walker focused on details, Nicoll decorated his shirt with white stars and pockets, and Walker used elastic detailing together with new lining to redefine his shirt.

Ploier took his inspiration from the professional biker shirt and designed a shirt with a straight shape and soft accents on the shoulders finishing it off with a blind zip. Also graphic is Stoldal's design, squares define the design and a 3D effect is created by using a shiny fabric. Euler pushed the boundaries of the traditional shaped shirt. With a detachable collar and tie, the wearer can adjust the shape to its liking.

The White Shirt Collection is part of the expanding plans of Topman and offering men a total shop experience where they enjoy shopping and have the opportunity to buy new things. In April of this year owner fashion tycoon Sir Philip Green, launched Topman's first flagship Topman in Dublin. Green is looking to expand with stores nation wide and to further develop the men clothing market. High end designs and ongoing collaborations with the British Fashion Council to nurture rising talent are on the agenda of Topman and Topman Design, the more expensive range for men.

From August 24th the White Shirt Collection will be available at Topman and topman.com from £ 50 and up.
