UK highstreet favourite Topshop has launched a new collection of accessories together with Barclays which incorporate the Barclaycard contactless payment technology.

Known as Topshop x bPay, the collection includes a range of accessories such as wristbands, smartphones cases and key chains in two designs: a bold monster fish print and a snake effect design. Prices range from 15 pounds for a sticker to 22 pounds for an iPhone case. All the items in the collection where specifically created to discreetly hold the small bPay contactless chip, which acts as link to a secure digital wallet, thus enabling customers the freedom the shop with ease and style wherever contactless payment is accept with bPay.

The launch of the new range comes after the UK raised the upper limit for contactless payments in the UK to 30 pounds. "This is a really exciting partnership with Topshop and marks the first time that our bPay chip is being incorporated into a product range from a major fashion retailer," commented Tami Hargreaves, Commercial Director, Digital Consumer Payments at Barclay Card. "The collaboration shows how the worlds of fashion and technology can combine to create a stylish and easy new way for people to pay using contactless, for everyday things – be it a morning coffee, a new lipstick or a bus trip across town."

The first range of the collection featuring the monster fish is currently available in selected Topshop stores and online, with the second design launching later this year.
