Within 90 minutes manufactures, retailers and designers can learn all the ins and outs to and how to be on trend for SS10. The first of the bi-yearly 90-minute Trend Predictor seminars organised by UK Fashion Exports will be held on 4th February 2009 at 3pm at Portland Place in London. The export division of British Clothing Industry Association will also offer a wide selection of fabric yarn samples, and attendees will receive a colour trend kit.

"While there is no lack of information available, many manufacturers, retailers and designers find it hard to schedule time to study, absorb and distil the information to identify the major colours, shapes, texture and trends relevant to their own ranges," says Laurian Davies, womenswear and marketing executive, UK Fashion Exports. "This is why we have organised these short, but comprehensive, presentations, led by Anne Ritchie, the textile and fashion specialist, who will pick out the key elements for the new season and illustrate where the influences come from."

The fee will be £65 plus VAT for members of British Clothing Industry Association, which incorporates UK Fashion Exports, Register of Apparel and Textile Designers, and the British Bridalwear Association, and £110 plus VAT for non-members. The second seminar covering AW10 will be held on Wednesday 24th June 2009 at 3pm.

The British Clothing Industry Association offers practical help to British exporters as well as to overseas buyers, agents and press. Apparel exports are estimated at £3bn a year and represent one of the most creative sectors within the UK economy.
