Triumph Inspiration Award finals

In its second year, the Triumph Inspiration Awards challenges students from all around the world to create an underwired bra and brief set dedicated to the theme ‘Icons’. The UK final of the Triumph Inspiration Award ’09 will take place at the Fashion and Textile Museum in London on June 11th 2009.

The judging panel for this prestigious lingerie fashion design contest is announced. Ten finalists from Central Saint Martins in London and ten from De Montfort in Leicester will present their showpieces to a panel of fashion specialists at a private judging in the afternoon. The jury include Zandra Rhodes (Designer and Founder of the Fashion and Textile Museum), Savannah Miller (Creative Director Twenty8Twelve) and Jane Fenlon-Smith (Brand Manager Triumph UK).

The winner will be announced that evening at the invitation-only preview party of the Fashion and Textile Museum’s new exhibition ‘Undercover’ that traces the evolution of underwear. He or she then goes forward to represent the UK at the Triumph Inspiration Award ’09 grand final in Milan at the start of Milan Fashion Week on September 23rd.
