V Magazine model search

V Magazine’s Model-Search Contest is now open and runs until the end of June. After partnering with Supreme Management for the last two years, the magazine is now in cahoots with Ford Models where the winner will be signed. As reported by New York magazine, unlike other modeling contests this one can actually launch a career.

Amanda Laine won in 2007 and went on to walk countless runways, appear in Balenciaga campaigns, and book editorials in W, Harper's Bazaar, and Italian Vogue. Addison Gill won last year, and has since walked at Calvin Klein and Pringle of Scotland. And though she hasn't reached Laine's status, she's well on her way to hitting her own peak.

So do you have what it takes to be high fashion? Practice your hunched-hands-on-hip couture look, because aspiring models can submit their photos online from now until the end of June. Finalists will be chosen on July 3.
