The grand dame of British fashion, Vivienne Westwood, designed the latest edition of fashion industry bible Le Book. The 2008 London edition follows in the footsteps of fashion designers such as Azzedine Alaia, Karl Lagerfeld and Yohji Yamamoto.
For the design of Le Book London 2008, Westwood choose a series of images linked to her 'Active Resistance to Propaganda' cultural manifesto in which she argues that art and culture are the antidote to propaganda and the secret of civilisation. This is the first time that a British designer has been chosen to 'dress' Le Book.
The publication is an essential tool for anyone working in the creative industries. Each edition consists of 3 spiral-bound volumes – Photography, Production and Art Direction – and is presented in a collector’s box. The London edition is now available from Le Book’s website and selected bookshops worldwide including RD Franks in London and Colette in Paris.
