Warnaco appoints new MD Europe

Warnaco has announced the apointment of Hans Schmitt to the position of Managing Director,  Europe. Hans Schmitt, who is scheduled to join Warnaco in August, will oversee all elements of Warnaco’s commercial business in Europe, reporting directly to Joe Gromek, President and Chief Executive Officer.

Schmitt joins Warnaco from Hugo Boss, where he most recently held the position of Senior Vice President, EMEA (Europe, Middle East and Africa). In this role Mr. Schmitt had responsibility for both the Company’s wholesale and retail businesses in the region. During his twelve-year career at Hugo Boss, he held a number of different positions in Europe and Asia, including Japan. Mr Schmitt will be based out of the London Office.
