Whistles to launch sportswear range with Frame

High street fashion label Whistles is set to launch a capsule sportswear line this summer together with Frame, London-based fitness studio.

Whistles revealed to FashionUnited that the collection is currently at the sampling stage of its production, but added that the finalized collection will be designed for "modern, energetic women." The collaborative line aims to unit Whistles minimalistic, pared-back style with Frame's expertise in creating athletic functional wear, with the apparel-only range offering "studio to street appeal."

In order to appeal to the labels core audience, Frame posted an open casting call in its Facebook page calling fans to share photographs of themselves in their best dance, yoga fitness of pilates move with the hashtag #WhistlesxFrame for the chance to be featured in the collections imagery, as Whistles would like to cast real girls in its campaign.

The collaborative capsule collection is set to launch this summer, with further details on the range to be confirmed. The move follows on from Whistles launch of menswear for Autumn/Winter 14, although no details have been revealed for a men's sportswear range.
