Last night the Retail Week Awards took place at the Grosvenor House Hotel. Over 1,700 industry retailers got together to discover who would win the 16 Awards presented by comedian Rob Brydon.

Winners included Morrison’s, who walked away with the Retailer of the Year Award and Chairman Sir Ken Morrison was given a special award for Outstanding Contribution in Retail as he stepped down after 56 years with the company. The Co-operative Group scored a double by winning both the Corporate Social Responsibility Award and Innovative Employer of the Year. Marks and Spencer, Asos.com and Inditex all managed to successfully defend their titles from last year, as did Tesco, who were once again voted as the Consumers’ Favourite Retailer with Sir Terry Leahy being named Retail Leader of the Year.

The Retail Week Awards were hosted in association with management consulting firm Kurt Salmon Associates.
